3/6/02 Seems like just yesterday we
were in high school. Where did those thirty years go?

02/22/02 Wow! This is bringing back
more memories than I thought I had. Not only did I
attend during the Fall of 1966 but also lived across
the street at 1761B 13th Ave. South between Sept.
1969 and Aug. 1971. (The apartments were later
re-numbered) It was that brick building with four
porches and four entrances on the south side of the
street. I lived upstairs (on the far left apt. facing
the building) while attending UAB for two years.
Fellow folksinger Lucy Pfau and two of her friends
would visit me for a few minutes before school
started sometimes. I can't remember their names. I
had some funny photos taken next to the Ramsay sign
that I'll try to scan and send in.... I only attended
during the Fall of 1966 but remember many classmates.
I took the GED to enter college before graduating
from Ramsay then worked to pay expenses; moved out of
state; returned in 1968; left again in 1971; and then
back and forth all these years...... Would be
interested in hearing from any friends, Sidney
Parker, Willow Herbert, teacher, English Nancy Walker
and so many more whose names currently elude me......
It was so VERY sad to read of the death of Amy
Borders..... life is too short for everyone
but......wow, I hate to see 'em go.....she was like
my little sister. More later..... God willing...
